May RNPN Resilience Exchange: Tribal Perspectives on Resilience
Join the Resilient Nation Partnership Network (RNPN) and the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP) for a conversation on Tribal Perspectives on Resilience. It will take place on Wednesday, May 25 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. EDT.

The conversation will feature the following speakers:
• Moderator: Nikki Cooley, Diné Nation; Indigenous Scientist and Educator; and Co-Manager, Tribes & Climate Change Program, ITEP
• Panelist: James Charles, President, Volya Innovative Solutions; Consultant for Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Historic Preservation Office and Environmental Resource Management Department
• Panelist: Kenneth Weitzel, Natural Resource Specialist, Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska
• Panelist: Althea Walker (Nez Perce/Hopi/Gila River), Co-Director and Community Resilience Lead, Climate Science Alliance
• Panelist: Amelia Marchand, Co-Creator, L.I.G.H.T. Foundation & Public Voices Fellow on the Climate Crisis

The event is part of the RNPN’s Resilience Exchange series. It offers monthly sessions to share knowledge on a particular area of hazard resilience. The RNPN has representation from over 1,500 organizations. They help communities become more resilient to natural disasters and climate-related events.
